Well, favourite memory... This is going to get repetitive!! My favourite memory is of my wedding day! Haha, how lame am I, it was just 3 weeks ago (TODAY!! lol) and it's still my favourite, of all others.
Anywho, the person who gave me my favourite memory, obviously, would be my wife.
Yes, again. I know, she comes up a lot. Well, she is important!! Hehe
@WifeyLove You gave me the best day I ever could have asked for, and not only was it perfect... it was perfect! Love you forever and always
Anyways, enough sappy crap, you must be getting tired of this.
I have other news. Since our current provincial government is changing the rates and system for hydro and gas billing (as in, based on peak hours, not a flat rate of an average for the day) we were visited by the JustEnergy fairy, and got to sign a contract to keep a flat rate billing system.
The upside to this, aside from having a flat rate, is that I got the option to choose whether my energy was sourced from "brown" energy sources (oil, coal, etc), 60% green energy, or 100% green energy (for a slight increase in rate). Not only did I pick 100% (of course) but the location of the energy farms (wind, water, solar) is all in Canada! How awesome. Local energy, hehe. Not sure if that's normal, but I was happy about it.
So that's my ramble, maybe not so exciting but I felt like sharing it nonetheless.
Peace and serenity,
Simply Me

7 different ways to use salt
So, like I said, I love finding fun new information on the internet.
Found on AboutMyPlanet.com, a list of new ways to use salt. Regular table salt.
Check out the full list here.
I love that these tips and ideas are actually practical, and use an everyday household item.
Let me know if you have tried any of these, and how they work! I am interested in seeing different peoples opinions of these uses.
Lots of love,
Simply Me

Wednesday's small step: Read an informative article
Today's small step: Read an informative article. Meaning, put down the video games, close up Facebook, turn off the iPod, and look up just ONE article regarding something you're interested in.
It can be related to sustainability, processing, factory conditions, organics, greenwashing, do-it-yourselfing, ingredients, etc.
ANYTHING that you want to know about. Just look up one.
My favourite websites for such informations are:
The Good Human
AboutMyPlanet
Big Green Purse
If you know of more, or want to add to my list (because I'm sure I've forgotten at least one that I peruse) please drop me a line, or leave a comment. I love hearing from you guys!
Also, send me links of your favourite informational articles, I absolutely love reading new things!

Camping weekend! Yay! I think...
So turns out I get to go camping this weekend! In a tent! I'm excited, but scared at the same time. I have this gigantic, irrational, ridiculous fear of creepy crawly creatures with more than 4 legs. I have come to accept, ants, butterflies, and ladybugs. The rest of them cause my skin to crawl. Almost literally.
So hopefully I can keep my squeamishness down to a dull roar and get to enjoy the weekend. No windows or screens to keep me safe, just a tent and a butt load of blankets. I may end up being a big butch camper by the end of this, or I'll end up hiding in the tent the whole time with my eyes closed. Time will tell.
The thing is, I love the outdoors, I love fresh air, trees, walking around barefoot. I'm just a big sissy about bugs. I also don't use bug spray, since that pretty much only keeps mosquitoes away, and mosquitoes are not what I'm afraid of.
I'll be bringing books, my current knitting project, food (not sure exactly what yet, since I haven't been camping since summer camp and at camp you don't need to bring food!), maybe some playing cards. Other than that, hoping that I will be able to venture outside of the tent and explore a little bit.
Long pants and shirts are a must-have for any squeamish hiker, as I hate the feel of bugs and spider webs on my skin. You want to see my skin crawl, watch me when I accidentally touch a spider web. Hahah, so not funny.
Anyways, so I'll be back Monday around lunchtime and hopefully will have good things to share! Maybe even some pictures! Yay!
Enjoy your weekend, lovelies who pass by here, and know that I will return.
Lots of fun and enjoyment,
-SG

Catch up!
So, admittedly, it has been a very long time since I've updated, and I do apologize for that. Profusely. I hope to try to get back into updating at least once a week, and hopefully some of my viewers will return.
Anyways, a quick update. I have basically done a complete 180 in my personal life, and am much better for it. I have a new significant other who actually supports my personal beliefs, and enjoys having meaningful conversations with me. I am no longer vegetarian, but I do eat limited amounts of meat. I am no longer the one who cooks, which is nice.
I am still working for the same company, even though I took a few breaks, I seem to always gravitate back to this place. Ah well, at least it's income.
As always, I am always looking to change myself to better the world, and I plan on continuing on this path.
Til next time,
Frugal
